To readers of “The Devil You Know:”

Chapter Eighteen of this story is close to my heart, as it the passing of a beloved soap opera character.  Written shortly after the announcement of the death of John Ingle, I wanted to pay tribute to him within my own story.  I had established ties between the Manning/Lords and Edward Quartermaine and thought it appropriate that they would pay tribute.  And, as I had Dillon and Michael in Llanview of the holiday, I wanted to get a family reaction to the news.

It was never planned in advance for this chapter to be released at this time of the month.  However, with the Quartermaine family about to suffer the loss of it’s patriarch this week, the timing has could not have been better.  As such, I have asked our blogowner to hold off on publishing the next chapter until Sunday, November 25, and allow the timings, on screen and within the story, to match up and let this chapter stand as a tribute to the memory of Edward Quartermaine and Mr. Ingle.  

Please join us on Sunday, as the Lord, Buchanan, and Manning families, and their friends, prepare for the wedding of Victoria Lord and Clint Buchanan in their own ways.
