Port Charles Chronicles: Chapter 3 (adult)
Todd finally got his emotions back in check and slowly pulled out of Blair’s embrace. He reached once more for her face, to reassure himself that she was real. Then, he stood up and helped her off the floor. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to lose it like that.” Feeling self-conscious he grabbed the towel and wrapped it around himself. He suddenly felt very uncomfortable. If Blair was really in the room with him, then she had heard him talking to Irene.
Blair took his hand when offered and stood up. When he moved away from her to grab the towel, she gave him some space. “It’s okay, Todd. Does your head still hurt?” She grabbed up his shirt and slipped it on. She loved the smell of his cologne that clung to the shirt. Buttoning one button, she returned to the bed and sat on it cross-legged.
Todd looked at her in surprise. His head? There was only a dull pain again. “What? No. Like I said, I just had too much to drink. You won’t believe this, but I thought I was drinking with you. I guess I overdid it.”
“Yes, you really did, but you weren’t imagining me. I did join you for drinks.” Blair watched his face as she cleared up that one little problem and saw the relief wash across it. He really was very worried about something. She got off the bed and went to him. “Why don’t you come lie down and I’ll give you a massage. It’ll ease that throbbing head.”
Todd let her lead him to the bed, remembering all the other times she had taken the lead. He took a quick glance around the room, but Irene had disappeared. Taking a deep breath, he laid down on his stomach as she instructed. To his surprise, she sat down on him and began massaging his shoulder and back muscles. It was feeling great until Blair started squirming around. Her delicious little behind was rubbing against his bare flesh in spots and he started getting very turned on. “Um Blair, just what is going on with you?”
“It’s the damn towel. My God, what does Carly wash those things in? It feels like sandpaper. It’s got to come off.” Just like that she ripped off the offending towel and resettled her bottom on his, maneuvering until she got comfortable She smiled as she heard his intake of breath. She knew his thoughts were back on her and he had completely forgotten what had happened earlier.
Her hands worked at his muscles feeling them unkink and loosen up. He was so fine. She didn’t know when the massaging stopped and the caressing began, but she found herself kissing his scars and tracing them with her tongue. Five bullet holes from the men of twenty-one. She had thought he had died in Ireland and when he returned everything for them had changed. She suddenly began to cry. He had returned again from a long absence and like Ireland, it hadn’t been his fault. Irene, had held him and tortured him. There was no telling what else Irene had done to him. Everyone including herself had just accepted him back into their lives as the Todd Manning they had remembered. They had seen what they wanted to see and hadn’t really seen Todd at all. God, we’ve all been blind. A tear dropped off her cheek and landed on his back.
After the initial sexual tension that had started, Todd had gotten himself under control and had begun to relax under Blair’s touch. Five months he had dreamed of her hands on him again but to actually have her there was unbelievable. Sure he had told Carly that Blair would come around, but he hadn’t really believed it. His love for her surged to the front when she began to caress his back and the mere touch of her tongue sent shivers clear to his toes. Suddenly, he felt something wet land on his back. She’s crying. “Babe?” He turned his head and saw the tears begin to fall in earnest. “Blair, what is it? Talk to me.” He began to turn on his back, under her, and she flung herself into his arms.
“Oh, Todd, I’m so sorry. I should have realized sooner.” She couldn’t get any more out and this time he held her, as she had held him earlier.
Todd turned back onto his side and laid Blair beside him on the bed. When she calmed down, he smoothed the hair off her face. Looking into her sparkling eyes he smiled at her gently. “Care to tell me what that was all about?”
Blair looked back into his eyes and reached for his scar. “So many scars, you were never given a break. When you came back this last time, you tried to tell us, and none of us listened to you. You must have felt so alone.”
Todd captured her hand. “It’s not like I expected anything different. I know what a shock it was to all of you to find out I was really me. Blair, I’m sorry I didn’t tell you about Victor. Please, believe me when I say I didn’t think I had killed him at first. I know that‘s no excuse for my behavior, but I was having a hard time getting my thoughts together on any given day. That day more so than others.” He kissed her palm and waited to see what she would do next.
“I do believe you. I’ve done nothing but think about things since your verdict came in. I know I called you a liar, and I’m sorry. I only saw the man who left eight years ago. The one who thought only about himself and that man appeared to be no different than before.”
“I know I made a stupid mistake taking that gun.....” he trailed off.
“Of course, you didn’t help your cause by pulling Starr into your mess. It just brought back all those times you used her to accomplish one of your crazy plans.”
“I never meant for Starr to get into so much trouble, but she was the only one halfway listening to me. That’s not an excuse for what I did. It just felt good that someone was on my side.” He still didn’t know how to explain the way Irene managed to make him feel in that jail. His damn mother had gotten a good foothold on him and she still wouldn’t let go.
“I know that now, and I’m beginning to understand better. After hearing your expert witness, I realized I failed to see the other things going on with you. My eyes have been opened and that’s why I’m here. I came to help you. I mean really help you.” She pulled his head towards her and met his lips with hers.
Todd kissed her back with fervor. Like a drowning man, he grabbed onto his lifeline, afraid to let it go. The kiss slowly turned from one of comfort to a more passionate one, and his hands began exploring her once more. Nothing, not one hour, five months, or eight years could ever make him forget every magnificent curve on her body. Under his touch, she began to moan and quiver as his exploration went to all her sensitive spots.
Blair could barely breathe. Todd found spots she had forgotten about. His little licks at the nape of her neck or the back of her knees set her heart racing. In fact, she loved every touch as he made his way to her center. Where his mouth didn’t go, his hands played with her. “Only you know the real me,” she whispered in his ear, as he filled her and she made love with her husband.
Later, Todd laid wide awake with Blair nestled on his shoulder asleep. His thoughts went back to one of the things she had said. “I came to help you.” She had come to Port Charles for him.
